The new AirAsia X franchise in Indonesia has gained permission to operate to Australia, with safety regulators granting clearance more than two months after services were scheduled to begin. The Bali-Melbourne route was supposed to launch Dec. 26, as Indonesia AirAsia X’s (IAAX) inaugural flight.
