The control tower of La Rochelle airport received recieved an emergency landing call Thursday noon.
The pilot of an Alphajet of the Air Force was in difficulty after the cockpit cracked due to a collision with a bird.
“The collision occurred at low altitude, between 500 and 1,000 feet (1,500 and 3,000 meters)” indicates the commander of air base 120, Colonel Noël Farnault in South West.
The pilot of air base 120 at Cazaux in Gironde had to immediately stop his training.
