A cargo plane operating for Saudi Arabian Airlines suffered a runway excursion at Maastricht Airport tonight.
The Boeing 747-400F was taking off from runway 21 at Maastricht Airport when it exited the runway.
According to first reports, the aircraft suffered engine failure then rejected takeoff, leading some of the wheels into the grass.
The aircraft (reg. TC-ACR) was taking off to Jeddah at 23:36 local time.
Cargo hold will have to be unloaded and fuel to be syphoned before the aircraft can be towed back on runway
