The very last built Boeing 747 performed its maiden flight.
The final 747 ever produced is in the air for the first time. The Boeing 747-8F (reg. N863GT) left the assembly line on Dec. 6 to become the 1,574th Jumbo manufactured in 54 years. The aircraft will be delivered to U.S. carrier Atlas Air.
Yesterday, Dec. 18, it took off from Everett for the first time, north of Seattle, shortly after 09.00 am (local time) and made a flight of just over an hour through the region, returning to its departure airport.
