A flight to Sofia in Bulgaria has just diverted to Rome, Italy.
The Ryanair flight FR6410 departed Madrid this morning at 05:50 CEST to Sofia in Bulgaria.
The Boeing 737-800 (registration EI-DWX) was cruising at 28,000 feet altitude over the Mediterranean Sea when the crew started descent to Rome Leonardo da Vinci International Airport due to a medical emergency on board.
The aircraft landed on runway 16L and taxied to a remote stand. The airline is planning a departure at 08:50 to resume flight to Bulgaria.
