The danish company jet time which for the most part flies charter flights for a few Norwegian carriers as well as subcontractor for SAS has announced that it will be reducing its fleet by 30%.
This is the next part of their work to restore its economy. Last year jet time lost roughly 16 million dollars.
A clear announcement has been made by the company: to reduce its fleet of 27 aircraft down to 18 aircraft. It’s the old Boeing 737-300s that are supposed to be retired, as well as three of the ATR 72-500s.
The 8 ATR 72-600 painted in the SAS livery remain untouched.
As a result of the new Boeing aircraft being more efficient the company does not expect the flight hours to be changed. Thus no changes have been announced regarding the crew on board the aircraft that will be retired.
