A Southwest Airlines jet with malfunctioning flaps made an emergency landing at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), a newspaper reported today.Flight 1704 from Sacramento was scheduled to land at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank Saturday afternoon but was diverted to LAX, the L.A. Times reported after contacting a Southwest official.
There was a problem with the flaps and the plane circled Bob Hope Airport before landing at LAX with its longer runway, the official told the times.
