Pilots of a Boeing 777 to Paris has declared an emergency over Gulf of Maine.
Air France flight AF9 departed in the night of Monday, August 18 2025 to Tuesday, shortly before midnight from New York JFK Airport.
The Boeing 777-300ER (registration F-GSQL) to Paris CDG climbed to 35,000 feet but turned around over Gulf of Maine about 40 minutes after departure due to a technical issue (engine).
The aircraft descended back to 24,000 feet altitude and is vectored back to New York.
