In a third incident this United Boeing 767 was forced to return to London Heathrow.
United flight #UA17 departed London Heathrow today one hour late at 13:16 GMT to Newark.
The Boeing 767-300ER (registration N685UA) departed form runway 27L then climbed to 16,000 ft before the crew noticed a technical issue and stopped the climb.
Pilots contacted ATC and requested a return to London. The aircraft turned around and was vectored to runway 27R at LHR.
The plane vacated the runway then was stopped on taxiway and met by three firetrucks before it taxied to a remote area.
The plane is now out of service to address a technical issue.
This is the third incident of this nature. This same aircraft returned to London Heathrow in the past 2 years due to technical issues.
