United flight from Paris to Newark has declared an emergency over Normandy and currently turning around.
The flight #UA56 departed Paris CDG Airport terminal 1, gate 30, at 10:01 CEST for an estimated arrival at 11:50 in Newark.
The Boeing 777-200ER departed runway 09R then climbed to 29,000 ft when the crew decided to turn around over Normandy.
We have confirmation the flight UA56 is returning to CDG due to a technical issue with the aircraft. The flight is operated by a 26-year-old Boeing 777 (registration N78003).
