British Airways flight from London Heathrow to Aberdeen declared an emergency and diverted to Manchester.
The flight #BA1306 departed London Heathrow Friday, September 27 2024 at 09:05 BST for a one-hour flight to Aberdeen, Scotland.
The Airbus A319-100 (registration G-DBCG) climbed to 28,000 ft before the crew declared a general emergency (squawk 7700).
Pilots contacted ATC due to smoke and fumes in the cockpit according to Flight Emergency.
The aircraft was met by fire trucks following landing on runway 05R at Manchester Airport. It taxied to stand escorted by emergency vehicles.
