Plane makes emergency landing after passenger reportedly attempts suicide in bathroom.
A flight from Thailand to the UK made an emergency landing after a passenger attempted suicide inside the plane’s bathroom, according to a report Monday.
EVA Air Flight BR67 from Bangkok was in the middle of its descent into London’s Heathrow Airport on Friday when cabin crew members realized that a passenger was still occupying the restroom, according to the Sun.
The flight was operated by a Boeing 777-300ER (registration B-16733). Pilots required a priority landing.
During the plane’s descent, the man was found in the restroom where it was suspected he was trying to end his life.
The person was helped by flight attendants and the on-board doctor, it is understood.
Once the aircraft had landed at 19:57 GMT, the man was given first aid and rushed to hospital for further treatment.
EVA Air confirmed the incident on the BR67 Bangkok-London flight on March 15.
