The flight departed Paris CDG at 15:15 CET but 30 minutes after being airborne, the pilots decided to turn around.
The flight is operated by an Airbus A350-900 (registration F-HTYE) which is 3 years old.

Air France confirms that the crew of flight AF108 on March 18, 2024, connecting Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Chennai (MAA) in an Airbus A350, decided, as a precautionary measure, to turn around after 30 minutes of flight and return to land in Paris following a technical incident.
The plane landed normally at Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 11:16 a.m. (local time).
Pilots and cabin crew are trained and regularly trained to manage this type of known and controlled situation.
Air France regrets the inconvenience linked to this situation and recalls that the safety of its customers and crews is its absolute imperative.
