WASHINGTON, D.C., Feb. 26, 2015 – Boeing [NYSE: BA] was named “Eco-Company of the Year” by Air Transport World (ATW) at the trade publication’s 41st Annual Industry Achievement Awards. ATW editors credited Boeing for “ever-more fuel and emissions-efficient aircraft” such as the 787 Dreamliner, 737 MAX and 777X, the company’s global effort to develop sustainable aviation biofuels and the Boeing ecoDemonstrator Program, which tests new technologies to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions and noise.
