The flight BA277 to Hyderabad was forced to return to London Heathrow due to a technical issue with the aircraft.
British Airways flight BA277 departed London Heathrow Airport during today’s afternoon at 15:32 BST from runway 27R for a 9-hour flight to Hyderabad, India.
The Boeing 777-200ER (registration G-YMME) climbed to 32,000 feet then turned around over Belgium due to a technical issue with the 25-year-old aircraft.
During 30 minutes, pilots circled at FL290 level to reduce the weight before starting an approach back to London.
The British Airways flight landed back at Heathrow 1 hour and 27 minutes later on runway 27L then taxied to a remote stand at terminal 5.
The airline confirmed to AIRLIVE the plane returned to London due to a technical issue and cancelled the flight.
