A Delta A350 aircraft turned around over middle of Pacific Ocean after departure from Los Angeles to Asia.
Delta Air Lines flight DL39 departed Los Angeles (LEX) to Shanghai (PVG) Wednesday, August 13 2025 at 11:52 PDT.
The Airbus A350-900 (registration N504DN) climbed form runway 24L for a 13-hour flight to China then turned around over middle of Pacific.
According to source, pilots decided to return to LAX due to passenger misconduct. The flight landed back on runway 24R about 9 hours after departure.
The airline didn’t yet commented about the incident.
