A flight from London Heathrow to Seattle was forced to turn around before crossing Atlantic and diverted to Manchester.
Virgin Atlantic flight VS105 departed London Heathrow at 13:22 BST to Seattle but 2 hours into the flight, the Airbus A330-900 started circling and was denied entering Reykjavik Control Area due to a system failure.
The aircraft (registration G-VSRB) finally turned back West of Scotland and diverted to Manchester more then 4 hours after departure from London. The airline confirmed an airspace closure along the flight route.
As the issue was solved and after refueling in Manchester, the Virgin Atlantic flight resumed the flight at 19:00 BST.
