An Iberia flight to Chicago O’Hare International Airport is returning to Spain.

The Iberia flight IB341 departed Madrid–Barajas Airport today a bit late at 12:01 CEST.

The Airbus A330-300 (registration EC-LUX) climbed to 34,000 feet altitude then turned around off Portugal’s coast about 1h30 after departure.

UPDATE #1
The flight is expected to return to Madrid at 14:53 CEST.

UPDATE #2
The A330 landed on runway 18R almost 3 hours after departure.
