A Delta flight from Chicago diverted to Detroit following overheat warnings in cockpit.
The flight DL2679 departed Chicago O’Hare International Airport Thursday, April 17 2025 at 3:28pm CDT for a 2-hour flight to Boston.
The Airbus A220 (registration N145DQ) climbed to 29,000 feet when the crew received overheat warnings in the cockpit.

The pilots contacted ATC and the flight was vectored to Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport where the aircraft was met by emergency vehicles.
Passengers deplaned and the flight resumed on a Boeing 717 for the final leg to Boston.
