You won’t believe just how quickly this incredible machine can get airbourne. Before I saw it, I didn’t. The 2nd largest plane in the world can be seen departing Prestwick Airport (PIK/EGPK) in astonishing time, from zero to airbourne in barely 20 seconds, having used a fraction of the runway.
Two US Air Force (USAF) C5 Super Galaxy aircraft arrived at Prestwick on the 11th July 2018 to drop off personnel and equipment in preparation for Donald Trump’s visit to Scotland on the 13th July. Having unloaded they were then ready to head out to RAF Lakenheath, UK and Ramstein Air Base, Germany respectively.
