At least nine people died on Sunday, December 22, after a small plane crashed in a commercial area of ​​the tourist city of Gramado in southern Brazil, authorities announced.

“There are nine deaths confirmed by the civil protection services and there are no survivors on the plane,” Commissioner Cléber dos Santos Lima, director of the internal police department of the civil police of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, told AFP.

According to flightradar24, the aircraft involved in the incident is a Piper PA-42-1000 Cheyenne 400 with registration PR-NDN.
