Ryanair flight from Marseille to Nantes diverted to… Morocco.
Early in the afternoon Ryanair flight #FR6476 was unable to land in Nantes and returned back to Marseille due to strong crosswind.
At 3 pm local time, wind gusted up to 55 kt at Nantes Airport forcing the flights to divert to nearby airports.
At about the same time, a Ryanair Boeing 737 MAX 8200 (registration EI-IJC) which departed Marseille, in South of France at 12:45 CET was on approach to Nantes turned South over La Rochelle.
The flight #FR6969 went all the way to Agadir in Morocco after almost 4 hours of flight.
UPDATE
That flight was actually a new attempt to land in Nantes. Earlier, the Ryanair flight #FR3982 from Agadir diverted to Marseille due to storm Caetano on the Atlantic coast.
The second attempt was not successful, this is why pilots decided to return to Agadir.
