Emirates flight from Toronto, Canada to Dubai diverted to Reykjavik following an emergency on board.
Emirates flight #EK242 departed Toronto this Monday, September 16 2024 at 14:50 EDT to Dubai.
The Airbus A380-800 (registration A6-EOL) climbed to 35,000 ft over the Northern of Canada then flew over the Labrador Sea when the crew decided to head to Iceland.
Due to medical reasons, the flight diverted to KEF Airport 4 hours and 45 minutes after departure from YYZ.
The Airbus landed at 23:38 for the medical situation to be assessed.
At 2:37, the flight resumed to Dubai where it landed 8 hours later.
