Delta flight #DL53 departed Zurich Airport today Saturday, August 17 2024 at 14:00 CEST to New York JFK Airport.
The Airbus A330-200 (registration N856NW) climbed to 36,000 ft over France before heading to South UK and South Ireland.
Before crossing the Atlantic, the crew contacted Shannon ATC due to a medical emergency on board.
The aircraft turned around and landed in Shannon 30 minutes later.
The A330 then resumed the flight to New York, taking off at 19:20 local time.
The flight #DL53 is expected to land at 9:22pm at JFK Airport. Then to park at terminal 4, gate B34.
