Delta flight #DL265 departed Paris CDG today at 15:09 CEST to New York JFK.
The flight was scheduled to last between 7 and 8 hours but about one hour into the flight, the crew contacted ATC about a medical emergency on board.
The Airbus A330-323 (registration N803NW) was vectored to the nearest main Airport.
It landed in Dublin at 16:15 GMT and taxied to the gate where emergency services took care of the passenger.
The airline is expected to resume the flight with a departure at 17:15 GMT.
