Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul quickly returned to Cape Town after takeoff.
The flight #TK45 from Cape Town to Istanbul departed on time at 16:45 SAST on Monday, February 19 2024.
But only 10 minutes after takeoff, the flight turned around.
The Airbus A350-900 (reg. TC-LGK) turned around back to South at 26,000ft and descended back to Cape Town where it landed only 38 minutes after departure.
The plane was parked in a remote area and emergency vehicles reached rushed to it.
A passenger was actually suffering a heart attack then was sent to the hospital by ambulance.
It is understood the cabin crew was performing Cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
