Flight operations to be stopped at Geneva’s international airport due to strike of workers.
Flights will be stopped between 04:00 and 08:00 local time at Geneva’s international airport on Friday morning.
Airport employees occupying positions such as security guards or in logistics will block all flights and paralyze the airport.
This strike, which comes on the first day of the holidays, is regrettable, according to Genève Aéroport, which expects around 50,000 passengers for 394 flights on Friday, one of the biggest peaks of the year.
⚠️ Due to a strike by several critical services, the runway will be closed between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m.
Please contact your airline to find out the status of your flight.
We deeply regret this and apologize for the inconvenience.

People who have planned to travel on Friday are asked to inquire on the airport application.
According to the SSP union, a thousand employees are affected by this project. For Genève Aéroport, the new salary policy, whose entry into force is scheduled for early 2024, ensures the sustainability of the autonomous public establishment.
