Changes to Heathrow flights on Saturday to support Trooping the Colour.
Heathrow, NATS and airlines are supporting the ceremonial aspects for the annual Trooping the Colour parade to mark the birthday of His Majesty King Charles Ill, on Saturday 17 June 2023.
There will be a flypast over Buckingham Palace at 1 :00pm to celebrate the King’s birthday.
The Red Arrows will be joined by some familiar aircraft including Spitfires and the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial flight, which includes the Hurricanes.
To accommodate the flypast, Heathrow will pause arrivals and departures for approximately 20 minutes, if we the airport is operating on easterlies.
The stoppage will be approximately 12 minutes if the airport is operating on westerlies.

Seventy aircraft will take to the skies during the display that will feature aircraft from the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force and will fly over The Mall in central London before making their way over the top of the iconic palace.
