Belarusian opposition Telegram channel Nexta has said its former editor and exiled opposition activist Roman Protasevich has been detained at Minsk airport after his Lithuania-bound flight made an emergency landing.

“The plane was checked, no bomb was found and all passengers were sent for another security search,” said Nexta.
Belarus scrambled MiG-29 to divert the Ryanair Flight.
In a statement, Ryanair said the crew were “notified by Belarus (Air Traffic Control) of a potential security threat on board and were instructed to divert to the nearest airport, Minsk”.
