Jetstar Australia have announced a rise in the cost of checked-in baggage at the airport. From August 15 domestic passengers that haven’t pre-booked baggage will face a $A10 ($US7.87, €6.67, £6.06) increase to $A60 ($US47.24, €40, £36.38), plus $A15 ($US11.21, €10, £9.10) for every kilogram over 15kgs. Carry-on is still set at maximum 2 items weighing no more than 7kgs between them.
Each checked in item can weigh no more than 32kgs. Jetstar has at the same time decreased the at airport check-in fee for Trans-Tasman and international flights.
