History was made on Monday when the very first Comair flight departed at 08:30 from OR Tambo International Airport to the remote Atlantic ocean island of Saint Helena.
It landed at St Helena at 14:14 South African time, and is to depart for the return flight at 15:30, to land again at OR Tambo at 18:30.

The schedule will comprise a weekly flight, departing from OR Tambo International Airport every Saturday morning at 08h30 (GMT+2) and will arrive at St Helena at approximately 11:30 (GMT). The return flight will depart from St Helena at approximately 12:30 (GMT) and will arrive at OR Tambo International Airport at approximately 18:30 (GMT+2).
