A British Airways flight bound for the United States was forced to make an unexpected landing in Dublin.
Flight BA69 from London Heathrow to Philadelphia was about 1 hour into its journey at 39,000 feet off the coast of Ireland when a female passenger in her 60’s started complaining of feeling ill.
The cabin crew notified the pilots and informed them that a diversion may be necessary.
The pilots dumped fuel over the Atlantic on the way to Dublin where the medical team will be on standby once the flight landed.
The Boeing 787 landed at Dublin Airport around 7.55pm however, the flight did not continue its journey to Philadelphia but instead returned to Heathrow Airport.
Meanwhile, the ill passenger has been taken to hospital with a minor illness.
