KLM says “disturbed passenger” injured himself and a co-pilot on a flight to China before being overpowered by the crew and other passengers.
The airline issued statement on Tuesday saying the incident happened on Sunday’s KL897 flight from Amsterdam to Beijing. The carrier says the flight was never at a risk and had landed as planned in Beijing.
KLM then says the co-pilot was treated for a minor injury in Beijing and has since returned home to the Netherlands. The airline says the passenger injured himself in the toilet and did not get in the cockpit.
KLM spokesperson declined to comment on this.
