It is now known that Darren Halliwell, 48, had become ‘disruptive’ on a British Airways flight
He has allegedly began assaulting his wife on the plane that was bound for Houston in Texas
Other passengers had to ‘restrain him’ and the plane was diverted to Boston, Massachusetts.
The flight, British Airways flight BA195 was met on the ground by two Massachusetts State Police vehicles.
Halliwell has been taken into custody and is charged with interference to a flight crew.
He is due to appear in court soon.
The father of two could face charges over the assault incident.
