A Soyuz 2-1A rocket successfully launched from Baikonur today, October 29th 2014 at 07:09 UTC, carrying the unmanned Progress M-25M Spacecraft with 2,350kg of cargo for the International Space Station. This launch also marks the first time Russia has used a modernized Soyuz 2 rocket rather than the usual Soyuz-U rocket for Progress launches. The update allows an increased cargo payload mass of 300kg.
