One person had suffered minor injuries after a small aircraft made an emergency landing at Birmingham Airport.
Birmingham Airport confirmed on Wednesday that its runway has been temporarily closed following an aircraft incident.
The aircraft involved in this incident is a Beechcraft B200 Super King Air, a small, twin-engine propeller plane.
Manchester Airport said that five flights due to land in Birmingham have been diverted there so far.
The Civil Aviation Authority has been informed and the airport has suspended operations as an investigation is carried out.
