Firefighting operation is on going due to a wildfire fire forcing closure of Marseille Provence Airport.
A wildfire that erupted near Marseille in southern France prompted the closure of Marseille Provence Airport on Tuesday.
Several helicopters and aircraft such as Canadair CL-215 and Dash 8-400 are involved in the firefighting operation less than 10 km from MRS Airport.

Planes have not been taking off or landing since around midday. Some flights have been diverted to Nice, Nimes and Lyon, the spokesperson added.
