Pilots of a Boeing aircraft from Calgary have declared an emergency over Northern Ireland.
While cruising at 39,000 feet over Belfast, the crew of a Westjet Airlines flight WS2 to London has declared an emergency.
The Boeing 787-9 (registration C-GUDO) departed Calgary in Canada Sunday, December 21 2025 at 21:23 MST for a 9-hour flight to London Heathrow.
Pilots squawked 7700 due to a medical situation on board, requiring ground assistance.
The flight will still continue to London but will be given a direct approach to LHR airport.

The flight landed at 12:34 GMT on runway 09R.
