Pilots of an Airbus A319 to Raleigh Durham Airport have declared an emergency and returned to Washington.
The United Airlines flight UA1357 departed Washington Dulles International Airport at 1:11 PM EDT to Raleigh Durham Airport.
The Airbus A319-100 (registration N844UA) took off from runway 30 and turned left towards for a 1-hour flight to Raleigh.
But after only 10 minutes, pilots stopped the climb at 22,000 feet and declared an emergency (squawk 7700) due to a technical issue.
The Airbus aircraft turned around then circled for few minutes before being vectored back to IAD where it landed on runway 36L 46 minutes after departure then taxied to gate D10.

The airline is now confirming a new departure time: 2:25 PM.
