After landing attempt at Prestwick and Edinburgh, a Ryanair Boeing 737 has declared an emergency.
Ryanair flight FR3418 from Pisa was supposed to land at Glasgow Prestwick. But due to Storm Amy, wind was gusting up to 40 kt, forcing the go around.
After circling for a while, the Boeing 737-800 (registration 9H-QBD) went to Edinburgh for a second landing attempt. But wind gusting up to 48 kt, forced pilots to abord the landing.
Due to low fuel, the crew declared an emergency (squawk 7700) requiring a priority landing at Manchester Airport.
