A Delta Air Lines Airbus A350 is returning to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport after pilots declared an emergency.
Delta Air Lines flight DL161 took off from runway 24 at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport for a 5-hour flight to Minneapolis.
The Airbus A350 (registration N521DN) departed at 10:44 CEST from Gate E20 and was at 33,700 feet over the North Sea when pilots decided to turn around.
About 45 minutes into the flight, the crew declared an emergency (squawk 7700) to require an immediate return to Amsterdam.
The airline not yet confirmed to diversion back to AMS Airport.
