The last operational plane of Yemenia Airways was destroyed at Sanaa airport.
“The Israeli enemy carried out four strikes on Sanaa airport, targeting the runway and a Yemeni airliner,” rebel media outlets Al-Massirah TV and Saba news agency reported.
The Airbus A320 (registration 7O-AFF) just arrived at Sana’a International Airport, Yemen, from Amman, Jordan. People were running to evacuate it moments before a missile hit the plane.

Thick black smoke was pouring out of the plane as it sat on the tarmac, according to a video posted on X by airport director Khaled al-Shayef, who claimed it was the last operational aircraft of Yemenia Airways.
Sanaa airport had already been targeted by Israeli strikes on the night of May 6 to 7, which destroyed six planes , including three other A320s.
Houthi authorities then claimed that the terminal had been “completely destroyed,” before announcing the resumption of flights to Jordan around ten days later.
