A British Airways A380 crew member was found dead in a hotel room before flight from San Francisco to London.
The man was due to work the A380 cabin on flight back to London Heathrow Airport on Thursday afternoon but colleagues became concerned when he failed to report for duty and alerted hotel management.
Staff then escorted them to his room. The man was found dead in bed when hotel managers unlocked the door. It is believed he may have been there for up to two days.

The flight attendant had been staying there since arriving on an A380 flight BA285 to San Francisco International Airport Tuesday, April 15 2025.
The return BA284 flight at 4.20pm on April 17 was cancelled. BA resumed service on the route on Thursday.
A British Airways spokesperson said: ‘Our thoughts and condolences are with the family and friends of our colleague at this difficult time.’ It is not yet clear how or when the crew member died.

Around 20 to 24 crew members work in a A380 cabin, depending on the airline and seating configuration.
