TUI flight from East Midlands Airport to Palma de Mallorca declared an emergency and diverted to London Gatwick.

The TUI flight departed Nottingham (EMA airport) at 06:16 BST this Saturday, June 8 2024 toto Palma de Mallorca.

The Boeing 737 MAX (registration G-TUMK) was operating the flight. The aircraft is 5 years old. It was delivered to the airline in 2019.

The flight climbed to 37,000 ft altitude but the crew declared an emergency (squawk 7700) while reaching the coast of France.

The plane was vectored to London Gatwick Airport where it landed on runway 26L at 7:15 local time due to an emergency on aboard.

The flight has resumed to Spain with callsign TOM9PB. It departed LGW Airport a bit more than 1 hour later and is expected to land at PMI Airport by 11:35 local time.

The flight #BY7624 is operated every Saturday.
