American Airlines flight from New York JFK to Miami is declaring an emergency.

American Airlines flight #AA2131 departed New York JFK to Miami.

After one hour into the flight the crew declared an emergency (squawk 7700).

The flight is operated by a Boeing 737 MAX 8 (registration N316SE).

The flight is diverting to Raleigh Durham International Airport.

The flight is scheduled to resume at 9:40 am to Miami.
