Domestic arrivals, check in and security are were closed at Glasgow Airport.
Police Scotland said they got a call around 5.55am. A suspicious item found in a passengers bag at Glasgow.

Four and a half hours after police were called to concerns over a piece of luggage at Glasgow Airport, the check-in area has been evacuated and a cordon’s been put in place while bomb disposal teams investigate.
Most flights that are departing are doing so empty.
Passengers outside the terminal have been given foil blankets and water. Some are trying to get to Edinburgh for new flights.

Large queues have built up around the check-in desks and some passengers were left standing in the car park.
