A passenger was pronounced dead by medics when the aircraft landed in Ireland.
Turkish Airlines flight #TK801 was travelling from Istanbul in Turkey to Bogotá, Columbia at the time and was about four hours into its journey when the crew declared a medical emergency.
The Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner jet was south of Cork when the crew made contact with air traffic controllers. The crew issued a medical emergency.
The aircraft had to dump fuel to ensure a landing within weight limits then it was met at the terminal by airport authorities and paramedics.
However, the man was pronounced dead soon after the flight landed.
There were 282 passengers and crew on board.
