An Embraer EMB-500 Phenom 100 executive jet sustained substantial damage after it skidded off the runway at Santa Rosa Airport, Rio Grande do Sul.
The executive jet with registration PR-TDV was involved in the runway excursion on 14th December. The aircraft came to rest in a ditch at the end of the runway. A pilot and two passengers were on board the aircraft.
The jet belongs to the medicine distributor Dimed Group. According to an official statement from the company, no one was injured in the incident, and there was only material damage. In a statement, the company said:
“The Dimed Group informs that, around 8:40 am this Wednesday (14), a small business aircraft of the company skidded and left the runway at Santa Rosa Airport (RS) during landing. The competent authorities were notified, and the company is working on investigating the causes of the episode.”
The excursion site was isolated by the Civil Defense of Santa Rosa, and the environmental police checked for probable fuel leakage.
