Bulgarian police have closed terminal 1 after explosive device was found in a van parked just outside the capital Sofia’s international airport.
The section of the airport’s Terminal 1 was evacuated while bags seen in the van were checked.
UPDATE Sofia airport’s Terminal 1 closed until midnight, airport director Hristo Shtilyanov has confirmed following the terror alert. All flights that were meant to be operating at the terminal have been switched to Terminal 2.
