On March 25, 2025, a significant incident occurred involving the Patrouille de France, the French Air and Space Force’s elite aerobatic team. During a rehearsal flight near Air Base 113 in Saint-Dizier, eastern France, two Alpha Jets collided mid-air while executing a complex maneuver as part of a six-aircraft formation.

The collision resulted in both aircraft being destroyed. One jet crashed into a grain silo in Villiers-en-Lieu, causing a fire and structural damage, while the other came down in a nearby canal . Fortunately, all three individuals aboard the jets—two pilots and one passenger—managed to eject safely.
